TIME SOCIOECONOMIC IMPACTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE – INSIGHTS INTO DEUTSCHER WETTERDIENST

Climate change is real and it is happening. I underline this point by highlighting the key facts about climate change and describing its physical manifestation. Then, I focus on the impacts of climate change, in particular the socioeconomic impacts and the methods used to quantify those. I provide insights into this interdisciplinary field of research at the Potsdam-Institut für Klimafolgenforschung and Deutscher Wetterdienst and illustrate that there is plenty to do for open-minded physicists. I am particular keen to discuss the questions you might have.
